Our First Project in Kenya
1996
On returning home, Shirley and Eddy began to collect old net curtains and set about adapting them as mosquito nets. They made an appeal on Granada TV and help came from an unexpected quarter!
Inmates of Styal Prison volunteered to make the nets and in the end, produced a total of 700. There were distributed to the villages of the Malindi district. From these humble beginning grew a small but dynamic charity, which came to be known as The Paper Chase Trust.
In just a few years, it has already brought huge improvement to the lives of people in this part of Kenya.
